The Program
Students would have the option of participating in the Ski Academy program only and pursue other activities on the weekends or to pursue a full week program in combination with the weekend FAST program. The program would be conducted under the following schedule during the ski season (mid December to mid April).

The academic program is set up in 3 terms with a greater emphasis on content in Term 1 and 3. Term 2 would see some extended afternoon classes to ensure students maintain their courses. Coaches and teachers will endeavor to allow students to focus and concentrate their efforts –whether it’s on the snow or in the classroom.
F – Future in Fernie
The Fernie Academy provides all its students with a challenging program that combines a demanding academic schedule with extensive arts and language education.
The Fernie Alpine Ski Team conducts ski race training at Fernie Alpine Resort. This program has been in existence for 30 years teaching young athletes the skills and passion of skiing and ski racing.

Focused goals of each student will enable the individual to grow and work toward reaching their potential and achieving success at all levels.
S – Successful Schools
FAST and The Fernie Academy have established successful programs that combined offer the athlete a fully comprehensive approach to training and education.
T – Teamwork The Fernie Ski Academy is a combined program offering excellence in the sport of ski racing with the highest standards in education in British Columbia.
